  1. According to discipline: Nursing (Registered Nurse): Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Occupational Therapy (OT Level 1/2): Current Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist. Social Work (SW Level 1/2): A Bachelor degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers Psychology (Registered Psychologist): Current Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist. Welfare Officer (Level 1/2): Bachelor Health Science (Mental Health) through the Djirruwang Program.
  2. The ability to effectively manage clinical issues, think critically and solve problems.
  3. Knowledge of contemporary MHDA practice relevant to the service/ program/ speciality, rural/ remote service provision and practical application of relevant MHDA legislation and policy.
  4. Sound communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to document accurately, write clearly and succinctly, consult effectively with others, and develop collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
  5. Competency in the use of information and communication technology, including standard office software, for email, internet searches, analysis of clinical data, and clinical documentation.
  6. The ability to collaborate and work effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of clients, including remote communities and Aboriginal people.
  7. Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  8. Must hold a current licence to drive in NSW and ability to travel occasionally / regularly for the purpose of service delivery.
