- According to discipline: Nursing (Registered Nurse): Current Registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) as a Registered Nurse. Occupational Therapy (OT Level 1/2): Current Registration with AHPRA as an Occupational Therapist. Social Work (SW Level 1/2): A Bachelor degree in Social Work with eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers Psychology (Registered Psychologist): Current Registration with AHPRA as a Psychologist. Welfare Officer (Level 1/2): Bachelor Health Science (Mental Health) through the Djirruwang Program.
- The ability to effectively manage clinical issues, think critically and solve problems.
- Knowledge of contemporary MHDA practice relevant to the service/ program/ speciality, rural/ remote service provision and practical application of relevant MHDA legislation and policy.
- Sound communication and interpersonal skills including the ability to document accurately, write clearly and succinctly, consult effectively with others, and develop collaborative partnerships with a range of stakeholders.
- Competency in the use of information and communication technology, including standard office software, for email, internet searches, analysis of clinical data, and clinical documentation.
- The ability to collaborate and work effectively and sensitively with a diverse range of clients, including remote communities and Aboriginal people.
- Ability to work as part of a multidisciplinary team.
- Must hold a current licence to drive in NSW and ability to travel occasionally / regularly for the purpose of service delivery.
