About the opportunity
Play a key role in shaping the future of healthcare infrastructure across NSW. In this influential position, you will provide expert advice and practical support on operational strategy, change management and commissioning for major hospital redevelopment projects, helping ensure new facilities, services and teams are operationally ready to deliver safe, effective care from day one.

Working closely with project teams, Local Health Districts and NSW Health partners, you will provide specialist advice, mentorship and hands-on support to drive the successful adoption of change initiatives, build organisational capability and support operational readiness across a diverse portfolio of projects. As part of a collaborative, high-performing team, you will contribute to innovative health infrastructure solutions that create lasting benefits for patients, staff and communities across NSW.

This is a fixed term full-time opportunity until 17 October 2027. Remuneration will be determined with the successful candidate.

Please note that as Health Infrastructure is an organisation of NSW Health, the successful applicant must reside in NSW or be willing to relocate if appointed.

This recruitment may be used to create a Talent Pool for similar future roles (ongoing or temporary) that may arise over the next 18 months.

About you
You are an experienced change and hospital operational commissioning professional who thrives in complex environments and is passionate about improving healthcare outcomes. With strong stakeholder engagement, attention to detail, and relationship management skills, you can influence, collaborate and build trust across diverse groups while balancing competing priorities and delivering high-quality outcomes.

You bring a strategic mindset, sound judgement and a proactive approach to identifying and managing risks. Confident navigating large-scale projects and sensitive issues, you are adaptable and able to provide timely, evidence-based advice and drive sustainable change that supports operational readiness and successful service transitions. Most importantly, you are a collaborative team player with the ability to work autonomously, who enjoys mentoring others, fostering strong partnerships and contributing to meaningful outcomes for communities across NSW.
