Hospital in the Home (HiTH) Physiotherapists are responsible for the assessment and treatment of HITH clients, with primary client groups including orthopaedic, geriatric and respiratory medicine. The physiotherapists work within a multidisciplinary team and participate in a case management model, and are responsible for providing a high quality physiotherapy service to the clients of HITH.
The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for the efficient and effective performance of the HITH Physiotherapy Team. In consultation with HITH Management, the Senior Physiotherapist will develop, implement and review guidelines, policies and procedures for the physiotherapy treatment of HITH clients. The Senior Physiotherapist is responsible for the clinical orientation and supervision of Grade 1- 2 HITH Physiotherapists and is expected to be actively involved in quality improvement activities and OH&S issues in relation to physiotherapy service provision and overall service development

- Licence: NSW Drivers licence Class C
- Qualification: Tertiary qualifications in Physiotherapy
- Registration: Current AHPRA General Physiotherapy Registration
Selection Criteria:
- Extensive postgraduate experience, preferably in both hospital and within community settings
- Demonstrated experience in staff supervision, as well as experience in the clinical supervision of undergraduate physiotherapists
- Demonstrated skills in Physiotherapy assessment, planning and interventions for clients within community settings
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development and demonstrated knowledge of, and experience with, Quality Improvement & Evidence Based Practice within the community setting.
- High-level written and oral communication skills, computer competence and ability to use electronic medical records, word processing and databases
- Demonstrated ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a multidisciplinary team
- Current NSW Drivers Licence
