Haemovigilance Clinical Nurse Consultant
- Registered Nurse / Midwife (List A or List B) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience; 3 years full time equivalent post-registration experience in the specialty field. As well as, approved post-graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field, or other such qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
- Demonstrated thorough knowledge of, and commitment to, evidence-based blood transfusion practices through participation in research projects and quality improvement activities.
- Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services, as well as demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
- Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver expert clinical education and training on complex issues.
- Working knowledge of hospital accreditation systems, and demonstrated experience in Quality Improvement Initiatives.
- Proficient in the use of computer databases and programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
- Demonstrated experience in quality improvement implementation
- Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence.
This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand Policy Directive PD2018_009 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases.
