  1. Registered Nurse / Midwife (List A or List B) with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, 5 years full-time equivalent post-registration experience; 3 years full time equivalent post-registration experience in the specialty field. As well as, approved post-graduate nursing/midwifery qualifications relevant to the field, or other such qualifications or experience deemed appropriate by the employer.
  2. Demonstrated thorough knowledge of, and commitment to, evidence-based blood transfusion practices through participation in research projects and quality improvement activities.
  3. Highly developed written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills with a demonstrated ability to deliver efficient and effective services, as well as demonstrated strong problem solving skills.
  4. Demonstrated ability to develop and deliver expert clinical education and training on complex issues.
  5. Working knowledge of hospital accreditation systems, and demonstrated experience in Quality Improvement Initiatives.
  6. Proficient in the use of computer databases and programs including Microsoft Word and Excel.
  7. Demonstrated experience in quality improvement implementation
  8. Unrestricted Class C Drivers Licence

This is a Category A position. All Category A applicants must read and understand Policy Directive PD2018_009 Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination Against Specified Diseases. All new recruits must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. New recruits must provide evidence against specified diseases and comply with the requirements of this policy at their own cost prior to appointment.
