What you’ll be doing  

This role provides subject matter expertise in the production and design of high-quality detailed technical reports and information products to support effective engagement with key external stakeholders of the Quality and System Performance, Reporting for Better Cancer Outcomes (RBCO) Program. This role requires a high degree of autonomy, applying an agile and iterative approach to both the design and production of high-quality reports. Translating complex health system data into accessible, evidence-based products, collaborating with internal project managers, team leads and managers across CINSW to ensure accuracy, clarity and usability.

In addition to base salary:

  • 4 weeks annual leave (plus 17.5% leave loading)

Essential requirements  

  • Demonstrated experience in producing technical and strategic reports for government, health system or equivalent complex organisations, including the ability to translate complex information into products tailored for varied audiences, including public facing health reports.
  • Proven expertise in the design and production of long form information products (e.g. reports, tables graphs and infographics) for digital output and print publication.
  • Advanced skills and experience in Adobe Creative Suite (InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop) for high quality reports.
  • Demonstrated skill usage across all Microsoft Office products, in particular developing and maintaining Word templates, Excel, and PowerPoint. 

If successful for interview candidates must bring original copies of essential qualifications to be sighted by the panel, and one copy to provide to panel. 

Pre-screening questions 

  1. Can you give an example of when you turned complex data into a clear report for different audiences? How did you make it easy to understand, and how did you know it worked? 
  2. How do you keep reports looking consistent when using a range of different tools? What steps do you take to manage templates and check quality?
