Forensic Medicine operates out of three sites - Wollongong, Sydney and Newcastle. The primary site for this role is in Lidcombe Coroner's Court Complex, you may be required to also work in the Newcastle Facility located on the John Hunter Hospital Campus. Forensic Medicine prides itself on offering hybrid working conditions, where possible. You will be asked at interview if you have a preferred primary site of Newcastle or Sydney and or flexibility to work across the two sites.

- Formal qualifications in Medical Radiation Science (Diagnostic Radiography), with eligibility to maintain AHPRA registration as a Medical Radiation Practitioner, and a NSW EPA radiation licence and professional association membership.
- Demonstrated high level knowledge and proficiency in a broad range of clinical examinations/procedures including Computed Tomography (CT) and related IT systems to confidently communicate clinical findings.
- Demonstrated attention to detail and analytical skills with particular focus on performing medical imaging examinations, radiographic interpretation, data accuracy and effective transfer of information.
- Demonstrated application of professional & ethical boundaries and the ability to exercise sound judgement and resolve issues independently as well as within a multidisciplinary environment.
- Demonstrated high level written and oral communication skills with capacity to effectively guide, train and educate staff on radiographic examinations, interpretation and best practice.
- Proven time management and organisational skills, with demonstrated ability to manage competing priorities within a complex and changing environment.
- Ability to work with the deceased in an environment that could be distressing, ensuring to raise any associated concerns and/or need for support, and adopt self-care strategies.
- Demonstrated capacity to adopt and model the NSWHP RITE values of Respect, Integrity, Teamwork and Excellence.
