Financial Accountant - Karitane
We have an exciting opportunity available for a dynamic finance professional to join the Karitane finance team on a permanent full-tome basis. As the Financial Accountant, you will play a pivotal role in enhancing our finance strategies and contributing to the sustainable growth of our organisation. You will partner and work collaboratively with both internal and external stakeholders to provide financial insights, guidance and support.
If you are a highly motivated, detail oriented, problem solver with strong interpersonal skills to effectively understand and communicate complex financial concepts to stakeholders as well as the desire to service our community, then this is the role for you.
POSITION TITLE: Financial Accountant
DEPARTMENT: Finance
OPERATIONAL BASE: Carramar -Head office site and Hybrid working arrangements will be considered
STATUS: Full time permanent (38 hours per week)
VACCINATION CATEGORY: B (including annual influenza vaccine)
RESPONSIBLE TO: Chief Financial Officer
INDUSTRIAL AWARD: AHO Health Employees Agreement 2019
Health Services Manager Level 1, Salary up to $100,000 per annum (plus superannuation and leave loading)

Karitane is a dynamic and innovative not for profit health organisation and registered charity providing early parenting services. We support families with children from birth to 5 years of age through building parenting capacity, enhancing parent child relationships and strengthening a family’s connections with supports in their community. Karitane have been a leading provider of parenting services since 1923 and are approaching our Centenary. Our services are evidence based and delivered by a caring and highly trained professional team of child and family health nurses, paediatricians, social workers, psychologists and psychiatrists offering complete, holistic care.
KEY SELECTION CRITERIA: (Please address each selection criteria in your cover letter)
• Minimum of 5+ years’ experience in financial and management accounting including budgetary preparation, forecasting and management reporting.
• Highly developed analytical and problem-solving skills with a demonstrated experience in the use of analytics and reporting tools in relation to financial data.
• High level of initiative and drive combined with meticulous attention to detail.
• Strong interpersonal skills and demonstrated ability to work positively and collaboratively with a range of stakeholders.
• Highly developed time management and organisational skills with adaptability to competing priorities.
• Advanced Microsoft Excel and experience in Microsoft Navision and ADP Payroll Software is desirable.
• Tertiary qualifications in Accounting, Business or equivalent relevant qualification
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT
Various employment status is in accordance with the Named NSW (Non - Declared) Affiliated Health Organisations’ Health Employees Agreement 2019. Shift times and days may be varied according to the needs of the organisation. Karitane services are provided at a number of sites within the Sydney Metropolitan Area and across NSW.
The majority of Karitane services close for approximately two weeks over the Christmas/New Year period, during which time employees are required to take leave.
