What you'll be doing

An opportunity to join a dynamic multidisciplinary team working in tertiary care with vulnerable families and children at risk in North Sydney. This role is responsible for management of a caseload of children from 12 months to 6 years from "at risk" families who have emotional, behavioural and developmental problems in a therapeutic preschool setting. Services to these children are provided according to an intensive trauma-informed early intervention approach with a ratio of 1 teacher to 5 children.

The position involves collaborative work with a range of disciplines including Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapy, Art Therapy, Psychology and Social Work as well as some home visiting and playgroup facilitation. Comprehensive and consistent professional development opportunities are provided.

People of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander background encouraged to apply.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Diploma in Early Childhood Education or Certificate in Child Studies or equivalent.
  2. Experience Early Childhood education with children at risk.
  3. Current NSW drivers license.
