Where you'll be working
The Bureau of Health Information (BHI) is a board-governed organisation that provides independent reports on the performance of the NSW public healthcare system. BHI’s primary purpose is to provide timely, accurate and comparable information on the performance of the NSW public healthcare system in ways that enhance the system’s accountability and inform efforts to improve healthcare. Our vision is that BHI is the trusted provider of healthcare performance information, that our information is used to inform decisions, and that this information supports continued improvement to patients’ experiences and outcomes of care in NSW.

What you'll be doing – Director, Data Governance, Management and Analyses
This Director provides organisation-wide leadership in relation to data governance, data management, data quality assurance and digital data transformation; and oversees a team of highly skilled analytic staff that produce information about healthcare performance that is objective, actionable, meaningful, timely and accurate. The Director contributes to BHI's vision to remain a trusted provider of information.

Position Classification: Health Manager Level 5
Remuneration: $166,678.00 - $186,448.00 per annum, plus superannuation
Location: St Leonards

Selection Criteria
- Extensive experience and record of achievement in governance and management of health data, including a strong grasp of current developments in the rapidly changing fields of statistical analysis, data management and governance, and applicable laws and ethical practices necessary to ensure the integrity of information and protection of privacy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead the development and delivery of a transformational change program.
- Superior conceptual and analytical skills in the translation of data into information that is objective, actionable, meaningful, timely and accurate.
- Demonstrated leadership and management skills to inspire and provide oversight of teams of highly skilled staff.
- Strong stakeholder management skills.
- Superior interpersonal and communication skills including proven ability to interact with people from an array of different professional backgrounds to achieve optimal business outcomes.
