  1. A Bachelors degrees in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas (see Essential Requirements).
  2. A postgraduate degree in physics, medical physics or equivalent discipline from a tertiary institution in Australia or equivalent from overseas (see Essential Requirements).
  3. Certification in Radiation Oncology Medical Physics or Radiotherapy Equipment Commissioning and Quality Assurance from the Australasian College of Physical Scientists and Engineers in Medicine (ACPSEM), or placement on the ACPSEM Radiation Oncology Register. International candidates eligible for registration by the ACPSEM may also apply.
  4. Demonstrated effective leadership skills and management experience.
  5. Extensive experience in radiation oncology physics and a demonstrated ability to achieve high standards of professional practice, along with evidence of a track record in commissioning radiotherapy equipment and/or implementation of new technologies.
  6. Evidence of initiative and ability to prioritise amongst competing service requirements, and willing to work flexible work hours (early or late) at times, as required.
  7. Evidence of oral and written communication skills and ability to work effectively both in a multi-disciplinary team as well as independently.
