About the Opportunity

Reporting to Cloud and Server Manager, you are responsible for leading all aspects of ICT infrastructure including provisioning, maintaining, and updating software & hardware platforms at all locations of SLHD district. They are key players in developing systems architecture working closely with business units, clinical departments, and 3rd party vendors to ensure the seamless operations in all hospitals and clinical care areas in the district.

  

This role provides a mentoring and leadership function for a team that provides 2nd and 3rd level platform support within SLHD. Management of all aspects of hardware lifecycle management, management of common DH&I platforms utilised district wide, as well as, providing technical expertise for Azure, AWS, and VMWare implementations.

  

Although this position will be based at Forest Lodge, there may be a requirement to work from time to time at other Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) facilities. The Digital Health teams provides support for systems that are in use 24 hours a day, 7 days a week, and will be required to provide 24/7 on-call support. Although this position is not a frontline clinical support position, the occupant may be required to provide support out of hours to ensure availability of the system.

Ideal Candidate

  • Relevant tertiary degree or equivalent qualification and/or experience in a large and complex health care sector with demonstrated experience in Public Cloud infrastructure such as Azure & AWS Cloud Services.
  • Operational experience in data centre and private cloud administration which may include virtualization software such as VMWARE or Hyper-V, operating systems such as Windows or Linux, Active Directory, DNS, DHCP, host setups, storage setups, backup systems, and basic network connectivity.
