Selection Criteria
- Proven experience in the health and medical research environment in NSW and Australia and specifically clinical research and clinical trials and /or appropriate tertiary qualifications in a relevant discipline.
- Experience working in or dealing with sponsors and industry.
- Demonstrated high level oral, written and interpersonal communication skills, such as negotiation, and report writing applicable in both a research and administrative context.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legislation, codes, and guidelines relevant to clinical and research ethics, and particularly the NHMRC National Statement on Ethical Conduct in Human Research, relevant privacy acts and guidelines, the Human Tissue Act, and the Therapeutic Goods Act as it relates to use of medications in human research.
- Demonstrated understanding of contractual arrangements for clinical trials.
- Demonstrated problem resolution skills involving the conceptualisation, identification, and development of ideas through detailed analysis.
- Proven experience managing people and projects demonstrating supervisory and management skills, conflict resolution, negotiation, and the ability to and manage competing issues in supporting business requirements.
- Demonstrated ability to make judgements and have sole delegated responsibility to approve changes in standards, practices, policies and procedures.
