To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible.
- Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) with relevant post-registration qualifications and at least 3 years’ experience working in the clinical area of the specified post-graduate qualification (or such other qualifications or equivalent experience deemed appropriate by the public hospital or public health organisation).
- Demonstrated advanced clinical skills and ability to exercise autonomous decision making in providing complex care.
- Demonstrated application of professional and ethical boundaries to the delivery of patient care in the context of a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated application of evidence-based practice and critical thinking in in the planning and delivery of individualised person-centred patient care.
- Demonstrated capacity to interact with others in a personable and professional manner, and personally resolve conflicts when they arise.
- Demonstrated commitment to work and partner with Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander patients, families and employees in a culturally safe and respectful way, to enhance health outcomes for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander clients.
- Demonstrated effective, excellent written and verbal communication skills and information technology skills.
- Ability and willingness to travel for work purposes between Broken Hill Health Service and Wilcannia Multipurpose Service. This may also involve driving long distances within the Local Health District with some overnight stays.
