Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 - Special Care Nursery, Shoalhaven Hospital

Selection Criteria:

1. Current authority to practice as a Registered Nurse with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA) AND relevant post-registration qualifications related to Special Care of the Newborn AND at least 3 years' experience working in a Special Care Nursery level 3 or above.
2. Demonstrated ability to manage complex clinical care and service delivery issues and problem solve through the development and use of clinical management plans.
3. Demonstrated ability to exercise extended autonomy of decision making while working as part of a multidisciplinary team and apply professional and ethical boundaries when dealing with complex situations.
4. Demonstrated skills in the development & facilitation of patient, staff and carer education as required.
5. Demonstrated high level written and verbal communication, interpersonal skills and the ability to identify key messages, issues and concerns when communicating with others.
6. Detailed knowledge and understanding of harm minimisation and evidence of leadership in safety and quality innovation.
7. Demonstrated competence in the use of health-related information technology.
8. Demonstrated skills in developing and conducting educational sessions and providing clinical teaching
