  1. Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a minimum of 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience and at least 3 years' full time equivalent experience in mental health and/or child and youth mental health, with postgraduate qualifications in area related to the clinical specialty or evidence of working towards Masters level qualification.
  2. Demonstrated ability to initiate and lead evidence based nursing practice in the assessment, care planning and care delivery to children and young people with complex mental health issues. Ability to provide expert clinical consultancy, networking and communicating across a range of key internal and external stakeholders.
  3. Excellent written and verbal communication and interpersonal skills, including the ability to work effectively with a range of children and young people aged from 12-18 years people and their parents/ carers, including those from culturally and linguistically diverse backgrounds.
  4. Demonstrated ability to work effectively both as a member of a multidisciplinary team and independently.
  5. Demonstrated computer skills with experience using MS Office programs and electronic filing systems.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to strength based practice and recovery focused care as well as consumer and carer participation and consultation.
