Clinical Nurse Consultant, Safewards Program Lead
- Current registration with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) and a minimum of 5 years' full time equivalent post registration experience and at least 3 years' full time equivalent experience in mental health and/or aged care, with postgraduate qualifications in area related to the clinical specialty.
- Proven clinical expertise and leadership skills in inpatient mental health/aged care environment and ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary framework demonstrating commitment to excellence in nursing practice.
- Demonstrated ability to implement changes and develop direction in clinical practice by the initiation, utilisation and review of evidence based research.
- Demonstrated leadership in strategic and clinical service planning and experience and expertise in the management of organisational and cultural change.
- Demonstrated high level advanced communication and interpersonal skills (including the use of coaching) across a variety of mediums and proven ability to write for a variety of documents and work with people from diverse backgrounds and government and non-government agencies.
- Proven advanced skills in clinical teaching and coaching, competency in the use of contemporary information, with proven clinical expertise in complex client centred consultancy with the ability to work independently.
- Valid unrestricted drivers' licence for use in NSW/Australia and willingness to travel in the course of employment.
