About the role:
The Clinical Nurse Consultant (CNC) – Neurointerventional provides expert clinical consultancy to support the delivery of patient care within the Medical & Interventional service at John Hunter hospital. On any given day, you will be providing expert advice and leadership to the other nurses within the service; liaising between the stroke teams to provide effective service coordination; undertaking quality improvement projects and audits; data collection; developing and delivering education to the broader team; and so on.
You won’t be working alone. You will be supported by the head of the Medical & Interventional Services and the medical team, as well as the Nurse Unit Managers. There is also a collaborative CNC group within the hospital that all CNC’s are encouraged to be a part of. Requirements:
Registered Nurse with current Authority to Practice with APRHA, as well as at least 5 years full time equivalent post registration experience, with at least 3 years full time equivalent experience in neurointerventional health. In addition, this role requires post graduate qualifications related to neurointerventional health or nursing or evidence of working towards same.
