Clinical Neuropsychologist (Clinical Psychologist) - Camden Hospital - Temp P/T
Selection Criteria
-
Full Registration with the Psychology Board of Australia (through AHPRA),with full endorsement in the area of Clinical Neuropsychology or eligibility to progress to ‘Clinical Neuropsychology Endorsement’ with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA), and a minimum two-year full-time or equivalent accredited postgraduate Masters or Doctorate degree in Clinical Neuropsychology.

Demonstrated experience providing comprehensive evidence based clinical neuropsychological services to a wide range of inpatients and/or outpatients (including community clients as per service). These include patients with a wide range of neurocognitive profiles including but not limited to neurological, neurosurgical, neurodegenerative conditions, psychological/psychiatric or secondary to other medical conditions, e.g. vascular conditions, trauma, or acquired or developmental brain injury.

Demonstrated awareness of psychological issues that can arise with inpatients and/or outpatients (including community clients as per service), presenting for neuropsychological assessment and where necessary, appropriate onward referral for management.

Demonstrated extensive knowledge of a wide range of neuropsychological evidence-based assessment procedures.

Demonstrated experience working as part of a multidisciplinary team/environment with a high level of autonomy, self-motivation, organisational and time management skills, and in addition, demonstrated excellent verbal and written communication skills and computer literacy.

Supervision experience of interns completing postgraduate qualification studies in Clinical Neuropsychology if appropriate to level of expertise

Demonstrated experience in neuropsychological assessment of older adults with neuropsychopathology, and differential diagnosis of neurodegenerative disorders and other medical conditions impacting on cognitive functioning.

Demonstrated and autonomous experience conducting assessment of older adults for capacity to make informed decisions and Guardianship assessments
