Remuneration: $112,977.04 - $116,639.98 per annum, pro rata (+ super + 17.5% leave loading where applicable)

At Cootamundra you will work within a multidisciplinary nursing team comprising Registered and Enrolled Nurses who are committed to best practice and continuous professional development. This role offers the opportunity to work across the Acute Ward and Emergency Department, while also providing educational support to the Midwifery Unit and Operating Theatres, allowing for broad clinical engagement and meaningful impact across multiple services.

What you’ll be doing
Using innovative, evidence-based education, you will professionally assess, plan, deliver and evaluate clinical education programs at Cootamundra and support individual midwives to deliver best practice care and positive patient outcomes.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Inspiring and develop midwives through engaging education, coaching and bedside teaching
- Lead orientation and transition programs to support new and transitioning staff to thrive in their roles
- Partner with clinical leaders to identify learning needs and implement targeted education strategies
- Promote patient safety, quality improvement and evidence-based practice through education and audit participation
Your contribution as a healthcare professional will have a meaningful and positive impact, which is felt at a community level.
Criteria
Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Current Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
- Relevant clinical experience (minimum 2 years in a specialty area)
- Strong clinical teaching and facilitation skills, including competency assessment
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and adult learning principles
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and proven problem-solving ability within a clinical setting.
