About the Role

You will be working at Royal Prince Alfred Hospital. It is one of the nation’s most respected hospitals, with a distinguished history of serving the health needs of local, statewide, national and international communities. Our facilities and services are world class and our staff are dedicated, innovative and caring.

    

The purpose of this role is to lead the only adolescent and adult clinic in NSW for people living with Prader-Willi Syndrome (PWS), providing care and support to adolescents and adults living with PWS, their families and caregivers within SLHD, NSW and Australia. This clinic is currently the leading clinic of its type in Australia and was established in 1991. A clinical service to other obese people with intellectual, mental or physical disability within Sydney Local Health District (SLHD) is also provided in this role.

Ideal Candidate

  • Currently holds a Bachelor or post graduate degree in an Allied health profession (Physiotherapy, Dietitian, Speech Pathology, Occupational Therapist, Social Worker, Exercise Physiologist) according to the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (state) award that provides eligibility for full membership of the relevant professional association and/or with current registration with AHPRA to practice.
  • Able to work on Tuesdays, Wednesdays and Thursdays.
  • Has advanced relevant clinical knowledge, skill and significant clinical experience in the provision of clinical services including assessment, evidence based therapeutic interventions and case management for adolescents and adults with disabilities and their families/caregivers.
