Occupational Therapist or Social Worker Level 5: $130,658.00 - $133,835.00 per annum
Senior Clinical Psychologist: $139,137.00 - $147,108.00 per annum
Senior Psychologist: $119,206.00 - $129,171.00 per annum

About Us
Nepean Blue Mountains Local Health District (NBMLHD) is a wonderful place to expand your career and grow your skills and knowledge. As a recognised leader in the healthcare industry, we provide a range of public health services to the Nepean, Blue Mountains, and Lithgow Region.
The Nepean Mental Health Centre provides inpatient care for people experiencing acute mental health issues through the short-stay Psychiatric Emergency Care Centre (PECC), the Acute Mental Health Unit, Mental Health High Dependency Unit, and Older Persons Mental Health Unit. We support our Patients by linking them to case managers for ongoing treatment and support within an environment appropriate to the person's needs.
Child, Youth and Family Mental Health (CYF-MH) provides services to children, young people, and their families in the Nepean, Blue Mountains, Hawkesbury and Lithgow communities where mental health issues are seriously impacting on their emotional wellbeing, relationships and day to day functioning. CYF-MH offers Mental Health Assessment, Psychoeducation, Clinical Support and Specialist Intervention services. CYF-MH is committed to working in partnership with families and the systems around them to provide person centred, trauma informed and recovery orientated care.
The successful incumbent will provide expert clinical and operational leadership, supervision and oversight to the Child & Adolescent Mental Health to ensure delivery of high quality, evidence based, specialist mental health interventions to children and adolescents, their families and carers. In this position, you will exercise independent clinical judgement, initiative, and problem-solving skills to provide senior clinical support to the multi-disciplinary clinicians within the team and to other relevant stakeholders.

What you will bring to the role
- a) Occupational Therapist- Degree in Occupational Therapy with current Registration with AHPRA; or b) Social Worker - Degree in Social Work from an accredited course providing eligibility for membership of the AASW; or c) Registered Nurse Division 1 with AHPRA with either relevant post-registration qualifications in Mental Health Leadership or working towards attainment or demonstrated experience as deemed relevant by the organisation; or d) Senior Psychologist- Registered Psychologist with current APHRA registration and have completed a minimum of one-year full time equivalent at the 9th year of service for a psychologist; or e) Senior Clinical Psychologist- Post graduate qualifications in Clinical Psychology and registration as a psychologist with AHPRA, endorsement as a Clinical Psychologist and Current Senior Clinical Psychologist or eligible for Senior Clinical Psychology grading (with no less than 12 months service at the 5th year of service and thereafter rate)
- Demonstrated experience in leadership and management of a clinical team or service. This includes the ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team, to work independently, and to exercise independent judgement on issues requiring advanced clinical reasoning.
- Demonstrated advanced clinical knowledge, skill and experience in assessment and intervention with children and young people experiencing mental health problems, including family-focused approaches and acute care.
- Demonstrated partnership building and negotiation skills with a wide range of service providers and well-developed understanding of the interface between services.
- Demonstrated understanding of the legal and policy framework which governs mental health and child protection within NSW.
- Evidence of an advanced level of verbal/ written communication skills, analytical and interpersonal skills, and ability to apply these to both clinical and management related tasks.
- Demonstrated leadership in clinical service planning, developing, coordinating, and implementing innovative projects including quality improvement projects, and translating evidence into practise.
- Current NSW drivers’ licence (P2 Licence Acceptable) and willingness to use same for work purposes.
