- Must hold as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in social work which provides eligibility for membership of the Australian Association of Social Workers, or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer and/or hold as a minimum a bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as counselling or other qualification deemed equivalent by the employer.
- Extensive post graduate clinical experience in trauma specific service provision with adult survivors of child sexual abuse with complex trauma (mental health and/or alcohol and other drug issues) and commitment to integrated ways of working with clients who have experienced trauma and abuse.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including the ability to interact constructively and collaboratively with a diverse range of stakeholders, throughout all organisational levels.
- Proven ability to provide high level clinical advice and education to enhance service delivery including demonstrated capacity to provide clinical supervision around violence abuse and neglect issues, in addition to a demonstrated commitment to ongoing clinical and professional learning.
- Ability to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team, work in partnership with key stakeholders and to apply independent professional judgement when dealing with situations of a complex nature.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes and lead ongoing quality improvement activities with other staff.
- Ability to work with minimal direction in an environment of organisational complexity, to establish a new, innovative service in line with NSW Health’s organisational values and goals.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence.
