Central Coast Local Area Health is currently seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Dental Assistant (Grade 1) to join their Oral Health Service team on a permanent full-time basis. If you're a qualified or experienced dental assistant looking to make a positive impact within a supportive healthcare environment, this is an excellent opportunity to contribute to the delivery of high-quality care in the Central Coast Local Health District (CCLHD). As part of a dynamic team, you'll help provide essential dental treatment to a diverse patient population while maintaining the highest standards of clinical practice and infection control.
About You
- You have a Certificate III in Dental Assisting (or recognised equivalent); or, adequate relevant experience as a Dental Assistant.
- You have a detailed knowledge of infection control procedures for a Dental Clinic setting.
- You have the ability to communicate effectively with patients, clinicians, and administrative staff. This includes interacting with patients in a compassionate manner, handling sensitive information with discretion, and managing telephone and front-desk duties.
Where you’ll be working
You will be based across the Central Coast Local Health District, an area known for its beautiful coastal environment and commitment to quality healthcare. This role will require you to work in various dental clinics across the district, including those with specialized facilities for patients with complex needs. You may also be required to assist in dental procedures performed in operating theatres, depending on your qualifications and training.
