About the role:
The Drug and Alcohol Support Worker (DASW) works within the Community Mental Health/ Drug and Alcohol (MHDA) team to completely deliver Drug and Alcohol and social care, to people experiencing substance use issues.
Your responsibilities will include.
Work alongside other clinicians in providing a recovery focused, person centred Drug and Alcohol services for people experiencing substance use issues, their families and carers.
Scope of practice of DASW will differ and is determined by the Team Manager, based on individual support workers relevant knowledge, skills and experience.
Undertake a range of duties to support other clinicians and consumer care
Observe and monitor the wellbeing of consumers when undertaking wellbeing activities, ensuring that any physical, mental or emotional occurrences are promptly escalated and documented as appropriate.
Employment Type: Temporary Full/Part Time (until 30 June 2026)
Position classification: Health Education Officer Grad / Non-Grad
Renumeration: $64,985.00 - $108,229.00 per annum, pro rata (+ super +17.5% leave loading where applicable)
Hours Per Week: up to 38

What We’re Looking For
Relevant qualification in Health and/or Social Care or working towards same
Good time management skills
Passion for helping others
Current NSW Driver’s Licence and willingness to travel.
