The Royal Hospital for Women is situated between the University of New South Wales and Coogee Beach.

The primary purpose of the position is to provide quality advanced training in menopause in a complex clinical environment, whilst developing higher professional maturity and professionalism. The Advanced Trainee will, under an appropriate level of supervision by senior staff as approved by the RACP, evaluate, diagnose, treat and provide consultation to patients presenting with problems relating to the subspeciality of menopause.  The role would suit a RACP Endocrine trainee and has flexibility to include general Endocrine exposure if required under stipulated training outlines.

  1. Qualifications and experience commensurate with the Essential Requirements for the role
  2. Demonstrated ability to work in a multidisciplinary team, including providing leadership and direction to ensure appropriate management of patients
  3. Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised complex clinical environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgment and expertise
  4. Demonstrated time management and problem solving skills
  5. Demonstrated excellent communication skills (verbal and written) and computer skills.
  6. Demonstrated commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management
  7. Evidence of continuing professional development and commitment to self education.
  8. Previous experience in and willingness to deliver undergraduate and postgraduate medical education and training.
