How to apply
To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possible

  • Being Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander is considered a genuine occupational qualification as per section 14 of the NSW Anti Discrimination Act 1977.
  • Ability to communicate effectively and respectfully with health professionals about clinical matters (within the scope of the role) and to provide sensitive customer service to a diverse range of clients.
  • Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
  • Basic communication technology skills, including the ability to accurately document patient transport episodes in the electronic medical record.
  • An understanding of Primary Health Care.
  • Physically capable of transferring patients, loading, unloading and manoeuvring patients on and off stretchers or wheelchairs, in line with Work Health and Safety legislation and policy.
  • Current First Aid Cardiopulmonary certificates and BLS (or willingness to obtain) as minimum qualifications, with the ability to successfully complete further mandatory and refresher training as required.
  • Current licence to drive in NSW with a proven safe driving record, verified by a Roads and Maritime Services licence summary prepared within the month prior to applying for the position.
