To be considered for this position, please ensure you address the selection criteria in the application as thoroughly as possibly:

Must be of Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander descent (N.B. An applicant’s race is a genuine occupational qualification and is authorised under S.14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977, NSW, proof required from a registered Incorporated body is compulsory).
Passion and commitment to working with people living with mental ill health / drug & alcohol issues, both Aboriginal and Non-Aboriginal.
Understanding of the social and emotional issues experienced by Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people and commitment to improving these.
Willingness and commitment to learning and self-development, including completion of the Bachelor of Health Science (Mental Health) course at Charles Sturt University over three consecutive years.
Demonstrated emotional intelligence in the workplace (self-awareness, self-regulation, motivation, empathy, social skills).
Demonstrated effective communication, written and verbal, computer skills and understanding partnership work.
