Selection Criteria:
- Being of Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 14 of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW)
- Holds or aspires to hold the Aboriginal Maternal Health Workers course or a minimum Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care
- Knowledge and understanding of significant issues in Indigenous health and its provision
- Demonstrated skills in health education, care coordination and experience working as an Aboriginal health worker
- Understanding of maternal health issues impacting Aboriginal pregnant women, their infants and family
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team
- Demonstrated computer literacy
- Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C
