Selection Criteria
- Being of Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
- Holds or aspires to hold the Aboriginal Maternal Health Workers course or a minimum Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care.
- Knowledge and understanding of significant issues in Indigenous health and its provision.
- Demonstrated skills in health education, care coordination and experience working as an Aboriginal Health Worker.
- Understanding of early childhood & maternal health issues.
- Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
- Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
