Aboriginal Health Worker - Child and Family Health

Selection Criteria

1. Being of Aboriginal &/or Torres Strait Islander descent is a genuine occupational qualification for this position under Section 14(d) of the Anti-Discrimination Act 1977 (NSW).
2. Holds or aspires to hold the Aboriginal Maternal Health Workers course or a minimum Certificate III in Aboriginal Primary Health Care.
3. Knowledge and understanding of significant issues in Indigenous health and its provision.
4. Demonstrated skills in health education, care coordination and experience working as an Aboriginal Health Worker.
5. Understanding of early childhood & maternal health issues.
6. Demonstrated oral and written communication skills and demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
7. Current NSW Drivers Licence Class C.
