The Opportunity
The Mid North Coast Local Health District (MNCLHD) are currently seeking a Work Health & Safety (WHS) Programs Manager to join their team.  This is a critical role within the organisation and offers an opportunity to work with a passionate and dedicated team in providing services as a safety professional to our colleagues within the organisation. 
Deliver and manage WHS programs across the MNCLHD including Violence Prevention Management (VPM) program in line with NSW Health Violence Prevention Management framework and WHS legislation.   Identifying and assessing the training needs of MNCLHD teams while ensuring implementation and maintenance of preventative strategies and WHS programs, including the VPM Program which is designed to promote the safety MNCLHD multidisciplinary teams and enable them to respond effectively to aggressive and violent behaviour in the workplace. 

About You
  • Demonstrated high level of leadership, communication and interpersonal skills
  • Demonstrated capacity to work independently and collaboratively with stakeholders
  • Relevant tertiary qualifications in WHS or a combination of study and work experience 

Essential Requirements
1. As per selection criteria in position description
2. Certificate IV in Training and Assessment or the ability to obtain, and experience in delivering training to various stakeholders and multidisciplinary teams. 
3. NSW Health VPM accredited trainer or the ability to obtain.

1. Describe your experience in using a range of teaching/learning strategies to support educational development, including group teaching within an organisation to improve staff safety?
2. Describe a time you have had to implement a prevention strategy or program to support a safer workplace.  What was the strategy or program, what did you do and what was the outcome?
3. Developing effective working relationships with stakeholders, including staff, managers, and senior leaders is key to the success of this role.  Describe how you have built and maintained effective relationships in a similar role?
