About the role:
Where you’ll be working:
YP-COPMI is a specialised mental health service for children whose parents have a mental illness. This role is based within the local Hunter Valley Adult Mental Health Team, with joint leadership support from both HNELHD CAMHS and the Adult Mental Health team (operational and clinical).
YP-COPMI collaborates closely with the assigned adult mental health clinician and their team, taking a family-focused approach to support the mental health and well-being of both the parent and child. The service plays a crucial role in creating care pathways and facilitating referrals to community-based providers for ongoing support. This position is guided by the NSW Health Family Focused Recovery Framework.

Requirements:
Our successful candidate will possess the following:
- Appropriate tertiary qualifications, professional registration/membership as applicable, plus significant clinical experience in Child and Youth Mental Health.
- Clinical Psychologists must have minimum postgraduate Masters in Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA
- For Social Work/Occupational Therapy, qualification in accordance with Schedule C, and eligibility for Level 3 of the NSW Health Service Health Professionals (State) Award. Social Worker eligible for membership of AASW or Occupational Therapy with current registration with AHPRA.
- For Nursing, current unrestricted registration with AHPRA & meet the requirement for Clinical Nurse Specialist 2 grading under the NSW Public Health System Nurses' & Midwives' State Award.
- Clinical Psychologists must have minimum postgraduate Masters in Clinical Psychology and current registration with AHPRA
- Current unrestricted Australian drivers' licence and willingness to travel for work purposes.
