An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced and qualified Physiatrist to join the team at South East Regional Hospital a Level 4 Health Facility based in the Bega Valley, part of the Southern NSW - Mental Health Directorate

Bega - 429 kilometres south of Sydney, 228 kilometres from Canberra or 174 kilometres from the NSW Snow fields. Nearby Merimbula (32 kilometres) offers a regional airport with a short 55 minute flight to Sydney and daily flights to Melbourne. Selection Criteria:
- Eligible for registration with the Medical Board of Australia (AHPRA) as a Specialist in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated recent clinical experience in Psychiatry.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively as part of a multidisciplinary team and provide leadership of a team.
- Demonstrated commitment to teaching, continuing education, and research and quality improvement.
- Demonstrated effective clinical communication through the use of information technology and written, verbal and interpersonal skills.
- Availability to participate in an on-call roster and to respond on site within a reasonable time.
Occupational Assessment, Screening and Vaccination against Specific Diseases
This is a Category ‘A’ position, please read and understand NSW Health policy directive PD2024_015. All new employees must agree to comply with the requirements outlined in this policy. OASV requirements also include proof of vaccination against influenza and is compulsory for NSW Staff that enter any Residential Aged Care Facility (RACF) or who work in NSW Health owned and operated RACFs.
