An exciting opportunity to step into the Site Operations leadership role at Ryde Hospital, to be part of the Executive team as transition to the new hospital gets underway. This is a key hospital role and will enable the successful applicant to gain valuable experience at a senior level.

Executive Unit, Ryde Hospital
Ryde Hospital is having an incredible $479 million complete hospital redevelopment that will transform the delivery of healthcare for the Ryde local community.
Construction commenced in early 2023, and will provide you with a wonderful and exciting opportunity to be part of the Ryde team to change the future health services for the Ryde Community completely.
What you'll be doing
This position is a member of the Ryde Executive Team and has the primary responsibility for coordination, governance, leadership and management of corporate services and site operations including contracted services across the Ryde Hospital campus and external facilities as required.
The incumbent will provide appropriate management to deliver effective and efficient corporate/support services to support the clinical services maintaining a patient focused approach to care. The incumbent will ensure all corporate services meet and comply with NSW Health policies and procedures, Accreditation Standards and all legislative requirements.
Executive leadership responsibilities include Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander matters, Partnering with Consumers, Work Health and Safety, Asset Management, Staff Wellbeing, and Sustainability. The role will own the Ryde Hospital relationship with HealthShare, NSLHD ICT, HIS, and NSLHD Corporate Services and others as required. The position participates in Executive on call requirements.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:
- Tertiary qualifications in a health-related field (or equivalent practical experience) with demonstrated management skills including operational and strategic knowledge and experience of the health system
- Please provide details of your experience in management and leadership of Site Operations/Corporate Services and identify some of the key challenges and your key successes.
- Could you explain how you would manage the significant cultural and working changes required within your portfolio to ensure success during the transition phase for Ryde Hospital Redevelopment?
- How do you perceive the function of this role in relation to the Ryde Hospital Redevelopment?
- Proven effective ability to motivate, inspire and lead staff as part of the executive team to deliver optimal performance within an environment of change, conflicting priorities and tight timeframes and to lead positive cultural change in the workplace
- Proven ability to function as part of a senior management team and to work successfully with other professionals and disciplines in the management of health care services, including strategic planning, service development, change and project management with an ability to analyse, recommend and evaluate innovative approaches to care .
- Proven effective negotiation and communication skills (written, verbal and Information Technology media) with a wide range of stakeholders including consumers as well as government and non-government agencies
- Experience and demonstrated understanding of facility and corporate service management systems with an ability to identify and analyse corporate needs, to recommend innovative business and organisational strategies using customer service principles. Experience with planning and overseeing the implementation of capital works programs.
