Senior Resident Medical Officer
Selection Criteria
- MBBS or equivalent, current general registration with the Medical Board of Australia.
- Must have completed at least 2 Post Graduate years in a Hospital with a minimum of 12 months experience working as a medical officer (not observer) in an Australian Public Hospital.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently within a supervised environment utilising excellent clinical skills, judgement with a commitment to quality improvement, patient safety and risk management.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a multidisciplinary clinical team as shown by diligence, punctuality, organisational/ record keeping, time management, problem solving, empathy, teamwork, professional manner.
- Excellent and respectful verbal and written communication skills, ability to negotiate and proficiency in computer applications
- A professional attitude with flexibility to participate in afterhours overtime and on-call rosters.
- Willingness to work and rotate in different hospitals, including rural hospitals, within Network 8.
- Demonstrated evidence of continued professional development with a commitment to self-education and experience and willingness to teach junior medical staff.
