About the role:
You'll be joining the largest public health system in Australia and contribute to a world-class health system in NSW.
Be part of a high-performing team providing strategic advice and delivering evaluation, program monitoring and data management and analytics that supports NSW Health to make decisions about policies and programs within the Health and Social Policy portfolio.
Crown Clerk 9/10, starting salary from $125,693- $138,510 p.a. (plus Super and annual leave loading), with a 35-hour work week.
This role has a particular focus on the health and wellbeing of young people aged 12 to 24 years. The role involves the development, implementation and evaluation of policies and programs that support the health system to be responsive to the needs of young people.

Essential requirements
- Demonstrated relevant, professional experience in the area of health and social policy and/or relevant tertiary qualifications.
- Substantial experience in developing, analysing and evaluating policy and other projects in a multi-disciplinary or multi-agency environment.
- Experience or demonstrated understanding of working to improve health outcomes for priority populations.
- Demonstrated ability to work with diverse stakeholders to deliver on complex policy and program/project areas.
Working at The Ministry of Health
The Health and Social Policy Branch is part of the Health System Strategy and Patient Experience Division in the NSW Ministry of Health.
The Branch works in partnership with the health system, government agencies, academia and the non-government sector to develop equity-based policies and programs for the NSW health system, including where these connect with social care. The work of the Branch is strongly influenced by evidence-based and social determinants approaches and focusses on building connections and integrating care.
This position is located in St Leonards, in a modern, purpose-built building within an activity-based working environment. Close to public transport, cafés and local amenities.
