Selection Criteria:
- Certificate IV in Mental Health Peer Work and/or work experience relevant to Mental Health and Suicide Prevention.
- Previous experience in a Consumer Peer Worker role, and demonstrated ability to meaningfully and purposefully use lived experience to provide peer support to people at risk of suicide.
- Demonstrated knowledge and appreciation of contemporary approaches to suicide prevention and trauma informed service delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability to work independently or as part of a team in performing a range of management and administrative tasks within allocated timeframe
- Demonstrated excellent written and verbal communication skills with the ability to prepare reports, collect data and co-facilitate education.
- Demonstrated effective interpersonal and communication skills to collaborate with key stakeholders
- Demonstrated knowledge of primary, secondary and tertiary mental health services, and ability to utilise appropriate support such as crisis response, risk formulation and safety planning
- Demonstrated ability to be flexible and adapt work practices to meet current and emerging business needs.
