Northern Sydney Local Health District (NSLHD) is looking for an experienced graduate program manager to work closely with the Chief Executive (CE) and senior executives to support the next generation of health managers.

What you'll be doing

The Senior Organisational Development Partner (Graduate Health Management Program) (Senior OD Partner GHMP) is an integral member of the NSLHD Organisational Development and Talent team with a primary focus on design, implementation and evaluation of the NSLHD GHMP. The GHMP aims to grow future leaders and managers for NSLHD and the broader NSW Health Public System.
 
The Senior OD Partner (GHMP) reports into the Director Organisational Development and Capability while maintaining a close working relationship with the Director Strategic Operations.  The Senior OD Partner is responsible for overseeing the GHMP including promoting and coordinating end to end the recruitment process for the GHMP; actively supporting the professional development of GHMP trainees ensuring the overall development process of each trainee is well coordinated, communicated and implemented throughout the duration of the GHMP; supporting trainees to establish performance development plans between the trainee and their placement supervisor in line with the NSLHD PRIDE Performance and Development Plan Policy aimed at developing leadership and management skills and capabilities.
 
The Senior OD Partner (GHMP) will coach and support trainees, establish and communicate the program plan each year with all relevant senior executive stakeholders, and work with and support placement supervisors to ensure that the trainee’s performance is aligned with relevant capability levels in the Public Sector Capabilities Framework. They will also liaise closely with senior executive stakeholders to evaluate and report back the program achievements at least annually and implement improvements where required.

In addition to this core responsibility, the Senior OD Partner provides leadership and content expertise in other leadership and management programs delivered by the ODaC team.

Candidates will need to meet the following criteria:

  1. Demonstrated strong skills and experience in program/project planning, communication and coordination.
  2. Strong group facilitation, teaching and performance coaching skills, with experience and commitment to developing bespoke programs and effecting positive workplace culture.
  3. Proven ability to communicate and influence senior executive stakeholders.
