The Senior Occupational Therapist provides high quality occupational therapy service to cancer care clients and carers. The role aims to ensure optimal health outcomes for the clients of the service.

What you will bring to the role:
- Current registration to practice as an Occupational Therapist with the Occupational Therapy Board, AHPRA and NSW Class C drivers licence or equivalent.
- Extensive advanced level of clinical knowledge and expertise across a range of conditions, including experience in Lymphoedema management, or willingness to undertake recognised training.
- Demonstrated high level skills in verbal and non-verbal communication with consumers, teams and other stakeholders, including excellence in negotiation, decision making, advocacy and collaborative consultation. Demonstrated experience in clinical documentation and formal reporting.
- Demonstrated well developed clinical knowledge and problem solving skills in an acute hospital or ambulatory setting within a multidisciplinary team, with ability to provide clinical services to client groups of a complex nature requiring advanced practice skills.
- Demonstrated experience and skill in providing clinical leadership, consultation, supervision and education for staff, students and external parties.
- Demonstrated high level organisational and time management skills in an environment of competing clinical/administrative demands.
- Demonstrated ability to advise, lead and participate in service development, change management and quality improvement initiatives within the OT environment and more broadly across a multidisciplinary team.
- Demonstrated experience in the use of relevant evidence based practice resources to guide decision- making and commitment to ongoing education / professional development.
