About Us

The Primary Care and Community Health Unit consists of 9 centres that provide a range of services for children, young people and their families, adults, older people, and their careers. Our services range from health promotion, prevention, and early detection through to assessment, treatment, and continuing care. Our staff work in partnership with schools, GPs, hospitals, non-government agencies and other organisations to provide care across our centres, in people’s homes, other community venues as well as virtual care (telehealth).

What you will bring to the role:
- Evidence of advanced clinical skills and demonstrated significant experience in the provision of occupational therapy services to children and their families.
- Demonstrated high level organisation and time management skills in an environment with competing clinical and administrative demands.
- Ability to initiate, lead, complete and share quality improvement initiatives and service evaluation processes with other staff.
- Demonstrated experience in the provision of clinical supervision, mentoring and development of level 1 / 2 staff and students.
- Excellent negotiation, decision making and advocacy skills including collaborative stakeholder consultation.
- Demonstrated ability to independently problem solve and set priorities in complex situations.
- Current driver's licence and willingness to use for work purposes.
- Current Authority to Practice as an Occupational Therapist with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
