About this role
The Senior Metadata Project Officer manages strategic and operational projects to meet organisational objectives, and is responsible for the day-to-day management of a number of NSW Health’s metadata solutions and entity registration databases. The role supports the implementation of activities and projects for the Ministry of Health and provides advice to support NSW Health objectives in relation to metadata and associated applications.

Crown Clerk 9/10, salary from $120,859 - $133,183 plus Super and annual leave loading

What you'll be doing

  • Managing the Health Entity Registration Online (HERO) application and building bespoke database queries to answer Ministry queries
  • Managing the related HERO classification development
  • Updating HERO and other SIA Data Collection Metadata using the Health Information Resource Directory (HIRD) metadata tool
  • Develop and maintain codeset aliasing using Master Data Services


About you 
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals with:

  • Experience in Health metadata work and database querying
  • A background in NSW Health service and reporting structures
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • The ability to work in a small dynamic team environment
  • Flexibility in taking on task assignments and work delivery
