About this role

This role will manage a small team within the Epidemiology and Biostatistics Unit in the Centre for Epidemiology and Evidence. The team is responsible for managing public reporting of population health data on HealthStats NSW.

Crown Clerk 11/12, starting salary from $139,787 - $161,663 plus Super and annual leave loading, with a 35-hour work week.

What you'll be doing
The Principal Analyst Heath Statistics will be leading a dynamic team responsible for the content and oversight of the HealthStats NSW web-based reporting platform. The role will be working closely with stakeholders across the Ministry of Health and, applying epidemiological and biostatistical principles, ensure that content is accurate, up-to-date and aligned towards strategic priorities.

The Principal Analyst will work in partnership with eHealth NSW to ensure that HealthStats NSW Application is maintained and enhanced based on an agreed strategic roadmap.

About you
We are seeking motivated and committed individuals who can support the work of NSW Health with:

  • The ability to communicate effectively and build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders.
  • Demonstrated extensive experience in reporting health data.
  • A growth mindset, and commitment to continuous learning and personal development.
  • Post graduate qualification in epidemiology, biostatistics, or demonstrated equivalent relevant professional experience and training.
