T
he Internal Audit Unit provides a wide range of assurance and consulting activities designed to add value and improve the district’s operations. An excellent opportunity now exists for a professional with an inquiring mind to join our team.

Reporting to the Director of Internal Audit, you will support and assist the team in managing the completion of the Strategic Internal Audit Plan and other special projects. The role will be part of the partnership with management in the district to embed assurance and internal controls within business processes.

Where you'll be working

We are located at Prince of Wales Hospital, Randwick in the Eastern Suburbs of Sydney, and 7 kilometres from the city centre. Our office is located close to public transport, local shops and beaches.

What you'll be doing

Plan, coordinate, lead and manage human, financial, material and capital resources to provide a cost effective, quality service that meets key performance indicators and financial accountabilities of the Internal Audit Team. Provide expert advice and service to SESLHD management, the Audit and Risk Committee and the Board through the conduct of high quality internal audits.

  2. Can you share recent examples of conducting risk-based audits in financial, operational, compliance, or performance (efficiency and effectiveness) areas, including involvement in special investigations? What impact did these projects have?

  3. Could you outline your experience in the use of data analytics and give examples where you have used analytics to provide advice and recommendations in a large and complex organisation?
