About the opportunity
Exciting Senior Contracts Officer position managing strategic Statewide contracts for Australia’s biggest public pathology service. Friendly and collaborative team working closely with colleagues in procurement and clinical streams. Flexible working arrangements in supportive atmosphere. High volume and value contracts supporting our public hospitals and health facilities.
We operate more than 60 laboratories and around 200 collection centres across NSW and conduct over 60 million tests per annum. Our network of pathologists are supported by scientists, technicians and support staff who quickly and accurately assess samples so clinical teams can make the best possible treatment decisions for patients. Our Forensic & Analytical Science Service provides independent, objective analysis to the NSW criminal and coronial justice systems.

What you'll be doing
This is a key role in the Procurement and Contracts team working across many contracts and suppliers and interfacing with multiple internal and external stakeholders. The primary purpose of the Senior Contract Officer role is to contribute to activities and support the contract implementation, contract management and contract administration needs of NSW Health Pathology.

- Tertiary qualification and/or equivalent working experience with a minimum two years’ experience working in contract administration, contract management or procurement.
- Detailed knowledge and understanding of the NSW Procurement Policy and NSW Health Pathology strategic direction is preferred.
- Contract administration experience operating within a similarly complex and specialized environment, with multiple stakeholders with competing priorities and a wide geographical coverage.
- Experience in contract management policies and procedures and embedding best practice principles aligned to a public sector context.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder engagement capabilities with demonstrated experience and ability to work with stakeholders to achieve effective contractual outcomes.
- Excellent organization and multitasking skills and detail driven, with the ability to take a broader view of the contract within the Health environment.
- Sound understanding and experience in supplier management, procurement and contracts metrics reporting including saving identification and reporting.
- Strong analytical skills with demonstrated advanced skills in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel).
