The Senior Biomedical Technical Officer conducts routine inspection, equipment repairs, and preventative maintenance to AS/NZ Standards under limited supervision on a range of Neonatal medical devices that includes, both medical and scientific instrumentation. These could be of electronic, electrical, or mechanical operation and checked to maintain patient and staff safety. The position also calls for technical support and training to be provided to clinical users on the above instrumentation when required.

What you will bring to the role:
- Possess qualifications in Biomedical Engineering equivalent to AQF6 as a minimum, combined with industry experience in the Healthcare Environment. Example qualifications include Biomedical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, Advanced/Associate Diploma in Electronic Engineering or equivalent qualification(s) with experience appropriate to the position.
- Be technically competent and have excellent knowledge of both analog and digital electronics as applied to medical devices.
- Demonstrated experience with electrical safety procedures and knowledge of relevant Australian standards as applied to medical devices in Health care facilities.
- Demonstrated knowledge of mechanical ventilators, including their repair and maintenance.
- Excellent organisational skills and the ability to priorities competing tasks.
- Possess excellent written and oral skills in English to effectively liaise with nursing, medical, administrative staff and suppliers of services.
- Strong ability to utilise computer software & database applications with knowledge of computer networking.
- Ability to work as part of a team and be capable of working with minimal supervision.
