About the role

Bonalbo Hospital is seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Transitional Nurse Practitioner to provide a high level of evidence-based nursing care within the specialty area of rural or rural generalist health care, to improve access of care and address gaps in existing health care services through the provision of a flexible and innovative model of care.

In this role, you'll provide clinical and professional leadership as an expert in the clinical field. You'll undertake comprehensive health assessments as well as collaborating and consulting with other members of the health care team to plan, implement and evaluate care. This integrated approach will support best practice and maximise patient care outcomes.

The Transitional Nurse Practitioner is appointed for a provisional period of up to three (3) years until the applicant meets the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA) requirements for nurse practitioner endorsement.

Bonalbo is in the beautiful Northern Rivers region of NSW, known for its unspoilt bushland surroundings, sub-tropical National Parks and the majestic Clarence River. For a different type of scene, you can drive to the Gold Coast in less than 2 hours, or Brisbane in under 3 hours.

Join our team and you’ll enjoy:

  • Salary packaging and novated leasing – increase your take-home pay.
  • Fitness discounts – focus on your health and wellbeing.
  • Growth – access to professional and personal development.
  • Team culture – work in a collaborative, flexible and supportive team environment.
  • Opportunities to start or build a career, or re-enter the workforce.
