The Role


The Research Governance and Ethics Officer is responsible for ensuring JHFMHN compliance with legislation, guidelines policies and procedures at national, state and local level governing the conduct of research. The position will be the first point contact for researchers who wish to conduct their research within the JHFMHN.

  1. Relevant tertiary qualifications and/or relevant experience.
  2. Demonstrated detailed knowledge of and experience in the National Statement on Ethical conduct in Human Research (2023); and other relevant Commonwealth and State legislation, regulations and guidelines related to the regulation of research involving humans, or the ability to quickly gain that knowledge.
  3. Proven excellent oral communications skills with the ability to communicate with a range of people from diverse backgrounds, including health professionals and researchers
