Achieve Something Great 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Haemodialysis Nurse to join our dedicated Home Dialysis team. This role is ideal for a Registered Nurse who is confident and competent in using the Fresenius 4008 dialysis system and passionate about empowering patients to manage their own treatment safely at home. As part of our multidisciplinary home therapies team, you will provide comprehensive training, support, ongoing assessment, and monitoring for patients transitioning to self-managed haemodialysis at home. We collaborate closely with nephrologists, dialysis technicians, private units, dietetics and the broader multidisciplinary team.Your ability to teach, encourage, problem solve, and adapt to individual learning needs will be key to success in this rewarding role.

Are You the Right Fit? 
The ideal candidate is a patient‑centred Registered Nurse who brings strong clinical expertise and a passion for empowering individuals to safely manage their own haemodialysis at home. 

They will demonstrate: 

  • Advanced haemodialysis competency, including experience with the Fresenius 4008 system, conducting patient assessments, delivering structured training, and providing ongoing supervision, troubleshooting, and clinical reviews. 
  • Exceptional communication, teaching, and organisational skills, with the ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a renal team while maintaining accurate documentation and supporting continuous improvement of training pathways. 
  • A flexible, proactive, and safety‑focused approach, supported by a valid driver’s licence, commitment to infection control and patient wellbeing, and availability to work across the current M/W/F or M/W/T/F rosters. 
 

Selection Criteria 
To help us assess your suitability for the role, please tell us as much as you can about yourself in response to the questions below. 

  • Current Authority to Practice as a Registered Nurse with Australian Health Practitioners Regulation Agency (AHPRA).
  • Describe your experience with haemodialysis nursing including home training (if appropriate).
  • How do you adapt teaching for patients who are anxious, overwhelmed, or have low health literacy?
  • Patients often require extended support during HHD training, how do you maintain compassion, patience, and motivation during long teaching sessions?
  • Home HD requires rapid troubleshooting without immediate on-site support. How would you help a patient build confidence in responding to machine alarms or treatment complications at home?
  • Applicants must possess an Australian C-Class driver's license (including P1 or P2). Those who hold a C class license (P1 or P2 included) from a state other than NSW must obtain a NSW C class (P1 or P2 included) license within three months of appointment. Learner's licenses are not permitted.
