Nepean Hospital is currently seeking a skilled and motivated Registered Nurse to join our busy and highly regarded Orthopaedic & Plastics Unit. This is an excellent opportunity to work in a fast-paced surgical environment while delivering exceptional, patient-centred care.
As a Registered Nurse, you will be responsible for providing comprehensive Nursing care to patients undergoing Orthopaedic and Plastic Surgery procedures. You will work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team to ensure safe, effective, and high-quality clinical outcomes across all stages of the patient journey. This is a role where you will deliver and coordinate patient care in accordance with best practice standards, conduct comprehensive patient assessments and develop care plans, provide pre- and post-operative care, perform advanced wound care and manage complex dressings, administer medications and monitor patient responses and recognise and respond to clinical deterioration.

What you will bring to the role
- Current registration to practice as a Registered Nurse (Division 1) with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Authority (AHPRA)
- Demonstrated experience and clinical skill as a Registered Nurse (including completion of a new graduate year or equivalent experience working as a registered Nurse).
- Demonstrated capacity to provide effective nursing care that is person centred, family inclusive and culturally sensitive to people accessing health services
- Demonstrated ability to organise and prioritise work
- Demonstrated effective communications written and verbal skills
- Demonstrated commitment to professional development
- Ability to work effectively within a multi-disciplinary team
- Ability to work a flexible roster, day evening or night shift across all days of the week
