Where you will be working:

Singleton District Hospital is a 68-bed acute care facility serving Singleton and surrounding areas. In addition to hospital services, the local Community Health Service provides various health programs.

We are seeking a Registered Nurse to join our dedicated Medical Stream team, delivering high-quality care in a rural setting. Be part of a supportive, enthusiastic team and make a difference in the Singleton community!


About the role:

As a vital member of our healthcare team, you will play a key role in delivering safe and high-quality acute medical care. Working collaboratively with a dedicated team of Registered Nurses, Enrolled Nurses, Assistants in Nursing, GP Visiting Medical Officers (VMOs), Allied Health professionals, and Clinical Nurse Educators, you will contribute to a supportive and patient-centered environment. You will be supported by your team, including Nurse Unit Managers, Clinical Nurse Managers, the Health Services Manager, Clinical Nurse Educators, as well as medical and allied health professionals. Robust education programs can be tailored to support individual career progression, ensuring ongoing professional development and excellence in patient care. Your role will involve assisting patients and their families throughout their healthcare journey, delivering compassionate, evidence-based care that promotes positive health outcomes.

  • Excellent communication skills with a strong focus on patient care and human resources.
  • Exceptional work ethic and strong time management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively with people from diverse cultural backgrounds.
  • Solid understanding of medical terminology.
  • Knowledge and experience in Acute Care, Palliative, Medical, and Renal Nursing are highly desirable.

  • * Based on a minimum 18-month commitment to the position. All payments made to part-time employees will be on a pro-rata basis.
