About the role: 

As a Registered Nurse in the Moree Emergency Department, you will be at the forefront of critical care, delivering expert, high-acuity nursing within a dynamic and fast-paced environment. Operating in an advanced practice capacity, you will be supported by a dedicated Clinical Nurse Educator (CNE), Transition to Practice Nurse (TNP), Nurse Unit Manager (NUM), and a team of experienced colleagues.

Your responsibilities will encompass triaging patients, administering life-saving treatments, stabilizing trauma cases, and managing a diverse range of medical emergencies. This role demands a high level of clinical expertise, adaptability, and the ability to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team - often under pressure in unpredictable situations.

Beyond immediate patient care, you will play a vital role in patient education, coordinating inter-facility transfers, and delivering holistic care to a diverse patient demographic.

  • Current registration as a Registered Nurse with AHPRA.

Expertise in Emergency Care – Strong clinical knowledge of emergency care protocols, including trauma, cardiac, respiratory, and paediatric emergencies, with the ability to remain composed and decisive in high-pressure situations.

Collaborative and Compassionate Approach – Work seamlessly alongside doctors, paramedics, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver exceptional patient care while providing vital support to patients and their families during critical moments.

Advanced Life Support and Triage Skills – ALS and triage experience are highly desirable; however, successful candidates will be fully supported in obtaining these essential skills.
